    hallo,
    bought pear tree i think conference a couple of years ago - last winter i put him in a tub with lots of good soil and plonked him by a west-facing wall -- as in piccie, he is looking happy and lots of new shoots but not a single flower so no pears this year! --- have i been too good to him so he's growing instead of fruiting and can i prune the young shoots NOW at end may?

    i wa sso looking forward to at least 1 or maybe 2 pears this year; i am about to have 7 cherries and 8 medlars this year, so i musyt be doing something right.

    thanks, karaman

    @karaman
    Do you happen to know what root stock the pear is on? This can affect time to fruiting and also whether it's really suitable for a pot.
    It looks to be healthy. Probably a matter of time as it is still young.
