A little further away from Chepstow but we'll worth it.
Mallard's Pike is situated in the centre of the forest of Dean. The ponds there were originally used for waterwheels to make forges during the industrial age. The name might imply a connection with a duck or maybe a fish but no....Pike was the name of a tollgate where a Mr Mahler lived...his name commonly changed over the years to Mallard.
There is a cafe beside the lake too
There are many activities offered here...cycling, segwaying, Go ape, running and hiking.
Hope you enjoy looking.
