Suggestions for the Christmas present from hell as far as I’m concerned
It's funny how hard it is to tell from the photo. I originally thought pitched, then someone said it was flat and I looked again and though, oh yes of course it is. And now you tell us it's pitched!

What are we doing in the garden 2025
Both the Acers in question are red, can't remember if they are disectum or palmatum. Even if they are palmatum they are small leaves. As they are not in my garden and it's winter I can't check.

Cut three or four appropriately sized sections off a bamboo cane and wedge them horizontally between the inner and outer pot. Should aid stability and allow humidity to rise.
