    It was frosty by bedtime last night, and white over this morning. It looked as if there'd been a light snow shower settling on the frozen ground. It soon turned to rain and has warmed up noticeably.

    Yesterday was relatively mild and dry so I pruned the front garden roses. I hadn't done them before as up till Christmas some still had flowers. I may do more later in winter but at least they...
