Where to go and what can I expect
One solution might be to erect a trellis top all along your fences all round if that might be possible, although you would have to ask permission from the neighbours if the fences belong to them....

I've done more rose pruning including a rather drastic one on the shed. I thought it was the climbing rose 'New Dawn' (sold as such) but Busy-Lizzie and others thought it might be the old HT Queen...

@RoseBush I'd agree with In my experience, badgers keep coming to the same area for quite a while, so even if it was warm, it would be worth waiting in case they messed things up again.
