Where to go and what can I expect
I will find out soon. If I enter the garden at 5 am and I don't hear any bird, I will take it out. I trust Plantminded and just bought the Foxwatch thing and asked OH to return the other one.

Yes its true, Brugmansia sanguinea will over winter in the ground at root level. You do have to treat it as a dieback perennial in that situation though.
