I am often puzzled by modern life.
@Tidemark, when I last did mine, I didn't need an appt, but had to go in within certain hrs as only one member of staff was trained to do it, and she worked part time.Honestly, it should be...

It is such a basic thing and there are millions of over 70s required to do regular updates.

I would do it before the phlox starts into growth - the new growth can be soft and easily damaged (although it will regrow).
