    I just use cheap safety gloves, usually buy 10 pairs at a time, they are not thorn proof but you can do fairly fiddly jobs while wearing them, just about keep the palms of your hands dry and have a rubbery grip. I've got some thick leather ones I use rarely if dealing with brambles.

    I have Blush Noisette. Not the tallest climber, by any means, but if you are looking for willingness to please it’s a winner. Flowers from May to December. Rot proof. not too thorny. :)
