    Mass grafting some apples

    These were all there one day and gone the next, couldn't see one left on the trees, even high up, all gone, we have an avenue of them that was planted for the millenium.

    @Alisa - I succumbed to a cymbidium in Morrisons too! It came in a pointless outer metal planter which I accidentally left behind at the till. Honest!

    What a dreich day, non stop light rain and very dull and misty, bad crash on the main road just outside the village earlier, folk don't slow down when poor visibility these days. 4 degrees all day...

    A happy little Rose problem

    Sounds worth trying to me. However, I usually plant roses into plastic pots as with JI no 3 compost they are too heavy in terracotta.

    All you want to know about hedgehogs....

    Had 1 hedgehog out and about last night, haven't been puting out food as no sign of them, but last night some apple i put out for the black birds had a few teeth marks in them so looked at cctv...
