    Blue bells

I've got blue bells in my garden and they rarely are a problem, in fact I'd like some to actually spread a bit. They disappear fairly soon after flowering, I find.

How do I move a heavy plant without help?

If I was in your position, I'd use ratchet straps to hold the pot onto the sack truck, and have 2 helpers (one for each side)

    Blackthorn?

keep trimming the suckers to the ground and it should eventually run out of energy.

Today I bought another star jasmine. I know that the redness is a sign of cold stress, and there were plants with just green leaves, but I couldn't resist it. I wish I was better when stressed

Great news. I lived in East Lothian and moved to the South Coast and the advice I get here is completely different from when I lived in Scotland.
