would upgrading to 36v Ryobi mower stop it slowing down

For a small area like that, boiling water from the kettle works surprisingly well and you don't have to worry about chemicals near the patio.

When I grew flowers for my daughter's wedding I used 2m x 1m. I had clay soil and I mixed bought compost into it. It was in my vegetable garden and I had Love in a Mist for years afterwards!
