I would assume that if the NHS had all health care in its remit it would have to be given extra funding and councils would then be left to get on with the practical side of life - housing, roads, public transport, waste management and so on. Either way, the UK model for health care leaves too...

I put some of those in about three weeks ago, getting their true leaves now, I do find they need a longer growing season than the smaller types, and ripening can be slow, but worth the effort.

It was dry for my walk and has rained on and off all afternoon. Feels chilly particularly if you do anything outside which involves getting your hands wet. Warming back up now with a Welsh Cake and cuppa.

Is that a beech tree? I saw one in the park that had come down in the wind a few days ago, massive tree and the whole thing had shattered when it hit the ground, the wood was totally infested with fungus. Beech seems to go that way.
