    Help With Growing Seeds

Not sure if anyone else does this but when it comes to hardening off seedlings I use this kind of thing if the cold frame is full.

    Green happy shop for seeds

Thanks for the tip. Will definitely try them next year. I usually order from Chiltern Seeds but are unhappy with the germination rate as soon as cultivars are used.

    seed potatoes with long shoots

You can leave them in a cool light space for a while if you're not ready to plant out yet. The shoots will green up and strengthen a bit. Plant carefully as already said.

When to Cut Back Semi-Neglected Lavender and Santolina

Yes a few years ago we visited a garden in Suffolk. They had a border with some very old Lavenders which still looked fine. They said they cut back hard in February-March each year.
