I'm sorry to say but I don't think they are hosta seeds. Hosta have longer seeds more like a flattened sunflower seed, or at least the ones I've collected have.

How do I stunt a begonia boliviensis without killing it?
Definitely worth propagating! I'd do the cuttings method. Then when you've got lots, and have set up a begonia shop online, you can be brave and chop up the corn!
