I believe the US is the biggest contributor to NATO finance by a long way so Europe really would to massively increase their subs and hence probably their taxes. That's his main grouse.

Perovskia - how much would you cut down?
That looks fine That's about the height that I reduce my Verbena bonariensis to. Your Perovskia shouldn't be tempting for slugs anyway because of the strongly scented, tough, silvery foliage....

Probably because they have the chemicals that can be used on some of the potential problems that the ordinary gardener doesn't have access to. Blight etc, admittedly viruses are a bigger problem.

What's buzzing flying near you 2026
@Obelix-Vendée there doesn't seem to be any reason established as to their demise or inability to breed. The Guillemots population there does get hammered by Raven predation.
