I am often puzzled by modern life.
My neighbour has wind chimes in the back garden - we don't hear them unless we are out there and usually as far up the garden as the greenhouse.. .something quite nice about hearing them tinkle...

Someone told me rhubarb was expensive but I've never looked as it pretty much grows wild down our allotment. 90% of what I pick is given to others, now I know why

Plants you don't grow
I used to have a Sumac tree in a previous garden. I did actually like it but it certainly likes to travel !! Not ideal for the average garden but makes an impressive roadside avenue.

@Selleri, we also have heavy clay soil but I have found my Burgeon & Ball Ladies Groundbreaker spade which is a stainless steel one really easy to use.
