Seed Sowing This Month April
Someone told me rhubarb was expensive but I've never looked as it pretty much grows wild down our allotment. 90% of what I pick is given to others, now I know why

I am often puzzled by modern life.
My neighbour has wind chimes in the back garden - we don't hear them unless we are out there and usually as far up the garden as the greenhouse.. .something quite nice about hearing them tinkle...

What are we doing in the garden 2026
Did some weeding of the gravel ‘garden’ by the pond, moved a couple of Foxgloves, planted a fern under my big Acer, grass cut (ok not by me), and had a lovely potter about.

Plants you don't grow
I used to have a Sumac tree in a previous garden. I did actually like it but it certainly likes to travel !! Not ideal for the average garden but makes an impressive roadside avenue.

What's your weather like 2026
You are trapped under one of those cold pools of air, it pushed way down south over the weekend as far as I can see on the forecast.
