Latest moan from you and me 2026

Just to clarify - I don't have an issue with people getting their prescription items on-line, simply concerned that there are many rogue traders out there and people need to investigate thoroughly.

Great news - Petrol and Diesel prices drop a lot

Yes, the prices rise much more quickly than they fall. You'd think Earth had no gravitational pull :biggrin:We have an "expert" who keeps writing articles about what causes food prices to rise and blah...

You'd think Earth had no gravitational pull :biggrin:We have an "expert" who keeps writing articles about what causes food prices to rise and blah blah blah. He has blamed rising fuel prices several times but been mum when they drop. Strange that.

    What's your weather like 2026

It is 19f -7c and the guessers say we're going to get a bonus breeze to make it feel even chillier. I keep reminding myself to be patient. It's only April and spring will get started soon!

Things that have made you happy today 2026

Just bought a side of hot smoked salmon, had to cut it up into potions and freeze it, but couldn't stop eating it once I tried it. Safely in the freezer now.

Show us your gardening purchases 2026

Our neighbours have a house in Greece with 800+ year old olives. They told me they trim them with chainsaws, which seemed a little barbaric, especially considering the mess he makes of his hedge.

    Slow pages

I generally find that if it starts to slow it just gets slower and slower. Clearly even the problem isn't consistent:sad:

    New Gardener - help!

Another option is just to cut them as low as you need to, to get access to fix the fence - easier than digging them out, and they might resprout into something you really like.
