Made this 'Tote' for a friend. He will use it as a magazine rack. Perspex is A4 size, bought from an auction site. Pine and rods were scrap, just lying around in my garage. Now waiting for Mrs C to apply 4 coats of clear matt varnish.

Of the two I have peregrine has tiny petals in comparison to the red peach,the flowers really don't stand out much.I've not noticed peach leaf curl attack the flowers.

Wickes have an offer on their compost reduced from £6.50 to £4 till Wednesday so I'm off to get a top up.

That looks fine That's about the height that I reduce my Verbena bonariensis to. Your Perovskia shouldn't be tempting for slugs anyway because of the strongly scented, tough, silvery foliage. They don't touch my Salvia Caradonna which is in the same family (mint).

I like the moat method for seedlings I sow in the greenhouse and it works well (I put the legs of the stand in water so I have more room) but you do get intrepid slugs that scale the greenhouse glass and glide down on a mucus rope from above, like a wildlife mission impossible. I've tried...
