Hi Totalbeginner I may be on my own with this view but I believe anything that can be recycled should be, so all the roots I find on our plots I just bag up and stack these to one side to stand for a year before adding to my compost bins.Hel.xxx.

1. Yes 2. Define 'becoming extremely common'. If you are going to use this study in your coursework, you'll need to be able to quantify stuff. Has there been a 10% increase in 2008 compared to 2007? Has it been a 50% increase in 2008 compared to 1998? Are we talking worldwide, Europe wide, UK?...

Can't you appeal? It seems such a shame that you should lose out just because of a setback. Obviously I don't know the full details of the circumstances, but if you had veg growing, raised beds built, fresh compost etc in there then that sounds to me like it was being worked pretty effectively.

Looks good David. The yellowing main crop spuds might be lack of rain (hopefully you are getting the same as us, loads of it today).
