Cacti and Succulents

Amazing how time goes by! I got Billbergia nutans from him, he grew it outside. He would laugh how mine has expanded. I corresponded with him for a while. He had some health issues, I think Asthma.

Thanks all for your comments, wasn’t sure if anyone would like it, the bowl was being thrown out, so I just had to recycle it, @Selleri as mentioned in your reply I’ll have to be careful with the watering

I’ve got a very young one grown from dragon fruit, and I agree with you totally, the spines look harmless just like hair, but get them in your hands and their terrible

@Tabbee Not sure if you managed to ID the succulent in the first picture, but here you go, it’s a Crassula Muscosa, also known as Watch chain plant , hope this helps

I got my original one in 1965 but now I only have a cutting of a cutting of a cutting

I believe it is Mammillaria elegans. I may sow the seeds if they ripen but I have never has any success with cactus seeds. We'll see what happens

@flounder thanks, there’s always room for a cactus flounder, ferocactus & Trithrinax used as guard dogs, now your talking, just remember where you place them, because they’re not fussy who they bite

Thanks very much @Lem, I went to Aldi today and nearly bought the exactly same Sedum just because of your thread even though I'm apparently not allowed to buy another succulent Anyways, two four-packs of Cyclamen came home with us.
