Yes it should do ok @norakay by all means give it some support to bring it upright as until it has some roots to hold it steady will move.. Keep the soil on the drier side, just moist and it should go ok..

It times like these that I don't regret not continuing to try to beat our climate and grow somewhat tender plants however appealing they may be. There are so many gorgeous plants which are hardy it is a bit conkers/often causes disappointment to try too many tender things with a climate that can...

No 1 looks like Elephant Bush - Portulacaria afra or AKA Dwarf Jade Plant, Pork Bush, Spekboom..

No.3 looks rather like a Parodia species to me - maybeThe one near the window looks like a slightly small, very light depleted Echeveria agavoides. Very, very cold hardy if it is.

I use lengths of folded kitchen roll and as was said above, have the hole ready. Trying to get compost around the base of a prickly plant in a small pot isn't much fun
