It's nice to have an operating system which doesn't suffer all these problems, the only trouble is it takes a bit more study to learn to use it. It's worth the trouble as the system and software is free.

When I get a computer that acts up like this, I do a clean install of Linux/Ubuntu (it's free). It's amazing how the problems disappear. Download the ISO and burn to CD, . You can try it from the live CD and then install if you want.

Hi Doogle Everything seems to freeze whatever programme I am using. I try to use the cursor and/or keyboard to close whatever down but it won't budge and in the end the only way to move anything is to turn the computer off. :cnfs:

All these sort of problems is the reason I changed to a Linux system. On our system most flatbed scanners and printer/scanners work with Xsane, however, I have to keep an old XP system to use film scanners and Flatbed/film scanners. We don't need AV software to protect our system as it is built...

I use mainly firefox occasionally IE no problem with bookmarks Kirsten Firefox lists IE bookmarks as well as its own just click on the IE bookmark link and it throws up the list.
