@PalustrisAlthough a majority of 32 bit programs will work on 64 bit Windows, 16 bit programs will not work at all. Try the suggestion by @Sigord and give DOSBOX a go.

Hi, sometimes (like 10 mins ago), I can't type on the forum without the text getting messed up. Every word takes an age to type and messes up. Missed letters, capital letters mid sentence etc. The text takes ages to appear after typing. Then, like now, it is suddenly ok. Any ideas? I can add a...

If you can download the actual file of the video you are interested in, and that's a doddle with Firefox and youtube downloader. Then play the resulting file in VLC Media Player, which is an excellent piece of software in my opinion.

We're trying to fit some automated vents to a conservatory. The mechanics for the openers are way more complex than I would like (or trust!) compared to the old rack & pinion systems ... but ... they were linked to all windows, so a single control (rotate with an handle, or motor) opened/closed...

My son-in-law is a computer programmer so knows his way around. Next week he'll be having my computer for a while to sort out the mess that is supposedly Skype on my machine. While he has it I'll get him to install Firefox and we'll see how that performs.Meanwhile I've had an evening here...

I have BT. GC and a couple of others were down for a short while, through BT. Checked all of them now, including Amazon and ebay and are all OK.

The Log says to run Chkdsk on the Solid state drive. sure I did that the other day.

Even with emails which look official, I never click on the links. If paypal/ebay/other have anything to tell you it'll be in the relevant message box when you log in. I always ignore the email link & log in independently to see, if I'm not sure. Usually though there are blinding grammatical or...
