I use Chrome with no problem .I also have Avast (my anti-virus) and occasionally use their browser but make sure it is not set as my primary one. I have no trouble with that either but it sometimes ask whether I want it to be my main one - which I say no to.

Just go with Chrome as a browser, it's safe and pretty unbeatable in performance etc. Avoid anything not regularly updated and out of date or aged software such as internet explorer. VPN providers are legion so just read some reviews, I use private internet access but there's plenty of options.

Like Loofah I have all my photos and files on the cloud.I use Google cloud ( others are available) You get 50gb of storage free, but I have updated to 100gb storage which is huge for £1.49 a month. I also have everything backed up on a USB hard drive, just in case!
