These phishing emails are getting quite good now, had 1 from Natwest this week with only 1 spelling mistake.

Sons used to go into the Tandy store and put in a little machine code program which stopped them working. First of the hackers? They were 12 and 11 at the time.

We also have WinPatrol installed. This prevents anything from altering your machine without your permission, so these malware programs cannot take charge unless you allow them. This does not help in your present situation. Agree that Hijack This is the way to go.

I had a virus in November after changing over from Macafee to Norton , I added the Norton after closing down Macafee and found out you keep the one your on running until the new one installed , luckily part of Norton they have on line IT gurus it took him 6 hours to sort it out, it never cost...

Well Google maps seems to be working now , couldn't see anything in the settings menu FC . I think all software and webpages are set with a random function to stop working every now and then for no reason. Then voila fix themselves as if nothing was wrong. Its all a plan to keep us demoralised...

Agree with some of what you say. Software has to be mac compatible. To me it,s the security or lack of it that you dont have to worry about. No Nortons, AVGs and the like to worry about. I use Elements 10 for my photo processing. My printer is a wifi Canon and I have a selection of external...

Loving my new Apple magic mouse.......got fed up of paying out for cheap devices and having then fail after awhile. This mouse has a beautiful smooth surface and acts just like the touch pad on the mac...I,m impressed with so far.

My present lap top is getting on in years and showing signs of it. When the time comes to replace it I don't think I'll be considering Lenovo. Other half and I both have Acer's and have been happy with them.....so it's the devil I know, so to speak.

You do need a connection kit to make the power and data connections before connecting to your PC lappy or mac. Cheap enough to buy. If you manage to salvage a drive with BIG storage then it,s worth considering a housing for it. That then makes it a very nice external hard drive. I,m guessing...
