Why is XP Pro so funny about that. I completely messed up - by using an installation disc to install a portable card reader. Nothing then worked, couldn't plug my camera in or anything. Took quite a bit of sorting out to get everything working again.Shame the instructions on USB gizmos don't...

When I said the other one I was referring to the registry scrub, macafee says its all clear. Strangely though, on start up tonight I got a box come up from Macafee asking what security I wanted as default, Windows or Macafee. I presume Macafee turns off Windows security automatically, but...

A further thought. If it was my computer, I would log onto the internet and allow my antivirus to update (if it so wished). I would then advance the internal clock by say one week (or whatever). Then go to the Flixter site and re-register and re-play the quiz, if necessary put in a differant...

I have a battery free wireless mouse. It has its own mouse pad and that gets plugged into the pc. It's great. The mouse is beautifully egonomic to hold and never fails. Highly recommended.

I think that newer software is often easier to use. My feeling is that my version of Nero is old. In the early days CD writing techniques were new and the main part of the program was the engine that did the writing itself. When the next generation of software comes out the engine has often not...
