Being computer illiterate I couldn't follow some of the suggestions but I did try @martin-f 's system restore one as seemed an easy one to try! It has worked so something in the last week had altered but thanks for all the help.

@roders , you will find Chrome and Firefox very similar . They only take 5 minutes to download and install . So you can have a play with both of them

I'm not on social media, so no facebook, twitter, instagram or whathaveyou. But if someone posts a link on any messageboard to some comment or other on any. If I look at it, it'll put a naffin' cookie on my laptop which I remove with any other junk each evening before I close it down.

Old thread, but who knows, maybe this can come useful..I have done photography, quite obsessively at some point, for many years. Therefore I have toyed with plenty of inkjet printers and I somehow regret that. It is true that expensive inkjet printers can come up with good quality photo...

I bought a second hand 24” monitor that had a hdmi and a dvi socket on it, so I could cone t to computer and had a humax free view box connected for tv. The monitor has a touch screen for win 10 and is a Iilyama, it works good and am satisfied.I also bought a 40” sharp tv monitor for £30!!!...

@NigelJ Many thanks for that info, just pasting in the ' about:profile' brought up several options and I selected the 'about profile' option and then just a case of selecting the old profile and everything was back to normal.

Hi,We also had a Kodi box with our old Panasonic CRT but found that the film sites kept closing down or moving and trying to load in the new version of things like Exodus a real pain, though probably easier with a keyboard like you mention.We also did get written letter from VM one time...
