I'd keep them on if your repotting into a larger pot

I have a similar issue and the bet for my acer is wrong compost in the pot. I don't think it's getting enough nutrients as the leaves curl, especially new growth that dies back. So I'm suspecting potassium and other nutrient deficiency. In my case, I believe the compost is wrong and the roots...

I guess it depends where you are. I'm on the North East coast and I've never lost any of the plants I listed. They even survived those two unusually harsh winters we had in a row a couple of years or so ago.

The Koroneiki olive tree is flowering, so I am hand pollinating it with an artist brush. The Abrequina olive tree will have open flowers within the next few days, which I will also pollinate. I will also cross pollinate both plants to see if that increases the number of olives that set.

Thanks. They are less than a foot. Long roots on the deutzia and much thinner, shorter roots on hibiscus. Potted today, seperately!

If any dead plants are being removed, check around the roots as grubs eating roots can cause plants to display the same symptoms as under watering and this could explain individual plants being affected rather than the whole container full.

The blue flowers called Lithodora Grace Ward are really fabulous - I must have some of those. I love blue flowers.

Hawkshead is a brilliant choice as it's the only white fuchsia that really does stay white, it doesn't go pink at all, and it seems to sparkle in the shade.

mine are in ground all year, never lifted, and they bloom like crazy, year after year after year. I cannot deal with lifting /replanting.

I've got one in a container that had just 2 very thin stems, one snapped and the other got munched by slugs and now 3/4 new stems are coming from the base.

the spiky one will look great in the borders and really offset whatever else you put in there.

Submerging pots/containers is a good idea for anything that is established, also if you want to grow anything that can be rampant for instance some of the rockery campanula or mint as they won't spread out take over your beds.

They're difficult to kill through pruning. just keep it to the size and shape you want.

How long will it take to reshoot? I really want a white Jasmine to compliment my Paul's Scarlett this year so I think I will just replace this one one with a new one.

I am not sure about the glazed ones...a bit like tiling the outdoor spaces...depends, depends.

I have a patio garden so i have to plant in pots. Having a grow house has really helped. Waiting on my calla lily and crocrosmia before i start hardening them outside during the day and in the growhouse untill early May.
