    We have a huge problem with pigeons eating ours and like you they don't bother with the lettuces we have to cover all brassicas with wire netting on our allotment, never got a shotgun when ya need...

    You're right there pete, it was the Kentish Weald that they were on about, think it was hop fields that had the ash from London fires added.
