I save runner beans seeds every year, and the very last ones can be a bit manky.So if these have been out all winter, I suggest you have a backup in place.

I think ideally, it would be better to rotate your crops around, however, with beans, some people have permanent frames set up for growing beans up. Obviously, these 'permanent' frames dont move...
