I've noticed that often the lower leaves do go yellow especially if overshadowed by the ones above.I've been looking for blight on my toms, I must admit, if it doesn't stop raining soon it could be a total disaster year.

Agreed, doesn't sound like blight. I've lost my outdoor toms to blight for the last two years, and I have the Bordeaux Mixture ready and waiting. If I get an incline that it's in my area, then I guess I'll have to apply it, but for now I'm holding off. My outdoor toms are actually cropping ! ...

It does seem very early indeed. Fortunately my outdoor tomatoes are not yet outside and my usual crop of spuds is now reduced to just 6 seeds in the compost heap, so much less to worry about!!

I see there is an Europe one, but it doesn't appear to be quite as good as the one for the UK. I sprayed my spuds today to be on the safe side

Got Blight on my Tomatoes yesterday.There have been no warnings in my postcode area since May. There was in the next postcode area a month ago, maybe it has taken that long for the blight to take effect?

Freddy, maybe it's time to use some chemicals, like Bordeaux Mixture.

I've heard about them Kandy but never tried them. I'll be very interested in how you get on this year.

Its sounds more like snake oil to me, but I'm willing to be proved wrong.

Has bean, you have to keep ventilating your greenhouse when its very sunny - otherwise close them as much as you dare. Its a balancing act as the humidity gets too high if you keep the vents closed all the time which encourages grey mould. Are you going to spray them with Dithane/Bordeaux...

Thats a real puzzle Brian - it would be a shame to give up though, maybe next year grow just a couple of toms and use the extra space for the stuff Kristen said in post #2.
