I grew first earlys Pentland Javelin potatoes this year and got a good harvest from them..as for strawberries Elsanta is a good cropper to try in containers

Can you not smoke them to death without killing the cues? That looks like the cold frame u built onto your house? You could open it to the heavens and wash away their sins?

I've had this same problem this year, perhaps worse because my tree is heavily laden with fruit??Either way it appeared on some fruit long before they were ripe, I removed all that I could reach...
I've had this same problem this year, perhaps worse because my tree is heavily laden with fruit??Either way it appeared on some fruit long before they were ripe, I removed all that I could reach and disposed of them which did the trick but as the fruits are now ripening its back with a vengeance
