Actually that does sound like unpollinated plants. A bit weird as you've got several. we get the occasional unpollinated fruit, but Mother Nature gets the rest pollinated. Maybe try hand...

I think, given the late start, it will be pushing it!! to get much/any crop off those Peppers this year. Folk tend to start them early (relative to other things) as they take a while to get going....

Purple podded mangetout peas
I tried them last year, like you say I found them a bit tough and stringy. The grandkids loved them only because they gave them purple tongues and teeth. So I'm not bothering with them again, back...
