    Only got two panes to replace with Perspex and the rest I fitted from the inside, I only needed about 15cm distance to fit the glass! Will post a picture soon.I stuck with the concrete slab base...

    I use John innes NO 3 with added grit , also grit once its all potted on the top helps to stop weeds moss etc and hopefully slugs

    My only negative point is that the boiler is outside the greenhouse (not that you would necessarily want the fire inside the greenhouse) and all the "waste heat" from the boiler itself getting hot...

    Standard greenhouse glass sizes

    Interesting, the panes I have are about 7200 square, I think. Those Dutch lights would be a bit of a pig to transport and handle being double that, the small panes are bad enough!

    Agree, also with my type the spring loses tension once taken on/off a few times, so new ones are a good idea (and pretty cheap too on tinternet)
