Thanks. I have a pair of them, they've been there for years, but I can't say I've noticed them in Autumn until this year. Perhaps its just 'coz they are round the back a bit, but I think they look Fabby at the moment.

Must admit that that is what the flower looks like, but the foliage is different to most. I haven't ruled it out though..........

You could be right too, as my shrub is not round at the top, but stems spread out pointing upwards.

Thank you Shiney. Very informative. I just realised my front garden has more room, but there are other plants nearby this Aucuba, so there is no room for another of this shrub, as it gets massive. I will give hard prune and try to reduce the size of it this autumn.

Welcome to the forums DaleGardener! Sorry folks to be a party pooper but I do not think the leaf is right for Arum. This beautiful leaf with superb veins has a long tail on the end of the leaf. Still trying to think what it is. Thought of Pontederia but that isn't it either.

Not something you would be expecting to be flowering in early January in Belguim then ??
