Identification Area

Hi, 1 is Azalea 2 Armeria maritima, Alba if the flower are white. 3 Phoenix palm 4 Spiraea spp 5 looks like delphinium but a little difficult to tell maybe geranium.

My sister has a number of grape vines, that produce black wine grapes. Can anybody help identify the variety for me ... if I know what they are I can turn them into appropriate wine type. The grapes start out green turn black, and are seeded. Leaf has no hairs on underside

I would but they seem top heavy, unlike the normal snapdragons which stand at about 14" tall and support themselves, these tend to droop over, suppose that they could make good ground cover, but that was my reason for getting rid off, but I guess they aren't doing any harm there, so looks like...

Thanks Pete, cover with fleece in te winter for protection? It's going to be in a planter, betwixed house and fence. Garden is coastal, around 300 metres from the sea. Can be quite windy too!!

Another thing to remember relevant to where you site it - the flowers exude a nectar than can drip onto surfaces very sticky and sweet. We don't have that problem as Mrs Shiney always takes the nectar off with a finger and eats it

Hi Ted, and welcome to GC from me too. I agree with John but call it a Cycad Revoluta, still a Sago Palm. Mine had 20 new fronds this year so I was absolutely delighted.

Try giving them a spray with provado or something see if it helps
