    I agree Pete, I noticed the leaf shape of Laburnum is very similar to that of the Cytisus broom... (Cytisus is now called Genista apparenty?)

As mentioned it may never bare fruit but if it does you'd have to expect a wait of possibly somewhere between 5 and 10 years from seed, still good fun and satisfying knowing its grown from a seed/pip your son planted :dbgrtmb:
