    Please assist me to identify this plant here. It might be emerging from a South African seed, or it might be only a Jamaican weed.It started, after some weeks, to produce some long thin stems.

    Thanks everyone...yes it is indeed a member of the knotweed family. It is the shorter type which looks like Polygonum affine...at least I now know what it is..thankyou :thumb:
