I don't recall the smaller version being yellow granny, I think they were browny with a pinky tinge

I must just add................. NOT all crocosmia are weeds, basically its that Orange one called x crocosmiiflora!!!!! Every other one I know of just make nice clumps that can be easily split.

Nat, you could try here. I've not visited for a long time now, but the owner used to grow quite a lot of similar kinds of plants, cant think of his name right now. Its only a small place as nurseries go, but he has a nice garden to look round with some interesting plants, and a good collection...

heehee, it stood up well to footballs being dropped on it in my mums garden so when she was getting rid of hers I aquired a lump of it. The kids seem to think that my front garden is a playpark and regularly stand on it, and so far it's not had any damage

Katherna variegation in a plant is an anomaly in the genes and is a sought after trait by gardeners,actually the green bit is the more healthy bit as it has a greater ability to produce energy for the plant than the variegated bit that lacks chlorophyll, if you don't want the plant to revert...

In sun as a ground cover in an area not traveled but need something with low maintance. I have some like that growing around the vacant areas among my heaths and heather.

Oh and the second photo of the first row could be a Hydrangea or also known as Hortensia and the first photo of the second row is a tossup between a Rudbeckia or an Echinacea although both have the common name of Cone flowerEvery time I look I find a plant I know:D

Yeah, the roots stink just like acacia. So, its still there. I seem to remember some largish trees near where the boat docks, maybe just one or two. So youve just come back eh?

Not sure about the first one but I think the third one is Psuederanthemum Atropurpureum or a similar cultivar, there are many.
