Looks a bit more like Ajuga to me although the colour is more 'foxglove'!

This one is called HEUCHERA, it is a hardy perennial.Cheerio

One thing about them Walnut. Plant them when you want.:D

Thanks Tropical Oasis. :thumb: Is it commonly known as 'Japonica' or is that something entirely different and do you know if it flowers at all - don't recall seeing any flowers on it. Good luck with your RHS - daughter finished hers last year but she's not near to ask about this plant.

Hi.I have a weed in my lawn that looks similar to asparagus in shape.There are no leaves yet! But the weeds are growing at about 4 inches high.It has a pinky coloured stalk with what I think maybe the beginnings of about 4 leaves around it. These leaves are approx an inch apart...

As you say pete,with the leaves and the tendrils it definatley look like some kind of pea. 02

The one in your photo is a Japanese Azalea, as wilroda says. For summer flowering you could try a deciduous Azalea. Nice, bright flowers and some varieties are heavily scented.

ThanksYes it has a gorges smell in the evening, I would say a mixture of chocolate/vanilla with a touch of flowers. It is also evergreen.I have taken cuttings, dipped in rooting powder but they just dried up and died. I have tried both hard wood and new growth

I heard of someone who had - presumably a patch of it, that hadn't been out of flower for 10 years. But the only one that I ever had died of wind-rock, which I think is one of its problems.
