Sarraceniniac Yes you can do it with comfrey too, my patch is towards the back of the garden also and doesn't invade too much, I find it's easy to pull out anyway

Thank you kandyfloss and Palustris, I can't remember where I got it from! grew it in the greenhouse last year then planted it out earlier this year but think it's in the wrong position from your description kandyfloss so will prob move it in the autumn or even overwinter it in the greenhouse

Just had a reply from an expert on Bulbs. He thinks it is Brodiaea pallida. However, I have never bought or grown from seed this one, BUT a long time ago I did have seed of B. minor SO it might be that or mislabelled seed and be as the man says. Either way it does not seem to be commercially...
