Just had a reply from an expert on Bulbs. He thinks it is Brodiaea pallida. However, I have never bought or grown from seed this one, BUT a long time ago I did have seed of B. minor SO it might be that or mislabelled seed and be as the man says. Either way it does not seem to be commercially...

Gotta own up now, dendy sent me some small echium plants last year, and this year they have seeded everywhere, I've been pulling them out from all sorts of places on the alottment. I not sure curt, but I dont think they transplant well once they start to flower, but they grow very quickly.

I agree that it looks like chickweed. There is no problem in pulling it out by hand but tell him to do it fairly soon before it flowers. The flowers set seed very quickly. The seed is a favourite of baby birds - probably why it is called chickweed.

Hi Palustris, thanks but no, it is not Nepeta subsessilis. I did go through various links under this name and although the flowers look familiar, the leaves are different. It is definitly what PeterS said.
