    Mystery Shrub?

The seeds are very easy to collect and germinate as readily as sunflowers, so perhaps you can give them some seeds.

    Mystery

I am quite stumped. There are various Scabiosa type plants with a similar flower - though not held quite the same way. But those leaves are quite differant, they are so distinctive.

    Can you ID this flower?

I don't think so, although I'm no expert. I have a couple of campanulas and the buds on the mystery plant didn't seem the same and it just seemed much more fleshy.

    mystery shrub

It is one of my favorite flowering shrub genera. It is a showy, reliable and easy to take care of plant. There has been a lot of breeding work and some of the new cultivars are outstanding.
