Mystery houseplant - can anyone name please?

I was halfway there but I hadn't seen one since the 80's so I only had a vague memory of it. Obviously a few folk still grow it though. Seems like another ID has been sorted.

Fast growing bush but what is it?

We live alongside a common where these trees grow - you will not need to take cuttings as it will seed everywhere there is a space for it to fly. Not a great plant for the garden I don't think.

Some variegated Vinca has crept throught into my garden from next door. I have replanted it under some privet in a shady corner. It has certainly brightened it up.
