I find they flower reliably if grown in a good open sunny position and given a feed or two after flowering to build them up for next year. Mine have become overgrown by other plants and need moving, its also far too dry for them this year.

Well done Fee, I am new to gardening really, in my retirement and I generally prefer to keep the same plant type in each container and then have fun bunching pots together to form a display, which makes it more flexible.

I did not know what i was doing at first i was pressing all sorts and got know where very fast, your better being on the phone with someone talking you through what to do it is so much easier, i found it easier. good luck.

yes there was, a bit grotty though, with a pull-in area for my car. As soon as we had a bit of rain, because of my now legenday clay, it would just turn into sloppy goo.... then I'd get the wheel stuck in it, spray Mr HB's car and sometimes the neighbours!!!! :eek: :eek: Mr HB was not...

GreenWizard - those are super photos. They obviously need plenty of skill, but also a good camera.What sort of spec camera do you need. Cameras seem to be sold by number of pixels. But it is obviously more than that, because my computer screen only displays 1024 x 768 - ie less than 1 meg...

BTW my Avatar is a "normal" sunset from our deck over our roof.

BM, absolutely fantastic. I just don't know how you get so much in a limited space. I do agree with you about a private space, I think a garden must be a place where you can lose yourself.
