Not sure this is the place to begin, but we have been here 10 years this month. The roof is flat so not so precarious. I should add that when we came here 90 percent of the land was head high in brambles etc. All the garden parts you can see,apart from mature trees and buildings, we have done.

Just a thought, but we have had a lot of insects in the photo comps. I know they are difficult to capture and really good when you get it just right but its not easy for those of us that have trouble with close-ups or perhaps live in a flat or city.

Your right Pete, gonna forget, so will just note that all seeds of all tropicals will need to be harvested - just one knot :D

I agree with what you are saying fran, but at this time of year the very old leaves from last winter can look terrible at this time of year. I have found no harm has come by removing these, as you still have the growth they put on after flowering & very soon the new shoots will start to appear...

The dodgy looking fella is Titan my shepherd boy. I bought him with some money refunded from a Titan holiday that was disappointing. He looks great with snow on his hat.

Ooh that brought back such lovely memories!A while ago I lived in a flat about half a mile away from a river and mill pond and every afternoon in the summer we used to get from four to fourteen dragonflies dancing around in front of our windows!Ain't nature lovely!
