Yes, that's how this particular board works, on some others, posts stay as "new" unless you log off and come back again. Other boards may have different systems too. I'm just glad new people seem to be joining at a faster rate than a few months ago. New people coming to boards help keep them...

As far as the horticultural training goes, probably yes. At Kew though, you have to do it all in the public eye. A lot of pressure for a newbie. If I were 40 years younger and I had a choice between Wisley and Kew. It would definitely be Kew.

I'll add my 2p worth. This site has certainly helped me and I can see the results in my garden. It is so nice to speak to like minded people. I have certainly learnt a lot more about gardening. Thanks. Brilliant site.

Just a bit off topic. The word Europe is, variously, thought to derive from Phonecia, Greece and the semitic countries . I prefer to think of it as the English sub-continent :hehe:. By the way, although Europe is said to be a 'continent' I think that shows an enormous egotism on the part...
