The worst part of dealing with the major flood we endured was having to try and work with 1 of the 2 loss adjusters (1 for building and 1 for contents) assigned to us. He just fell short of accusing us of flooding our own home. How could we be blamed for The River Clyde breaking all record...

Didn't recognize them as I've never seen one that "close". We're experiencing problems with those. They chase our squirrels away. Course of a lot of our neighbourhood squirrels are black ones and everyone knows they are he stupid ones because they seem to be the majority of road kill...

... speaking of which: when the plug holes/drains need a bit of a clean ... pour some soda crystals over the plug hole (they're not crystals anymore, just dust/powder, but still do the job) until it forms a little hump over the plug hole; then, heat up your steam cleaner with the nozzle...

70 sleeps until spring . I can't wait, the birds are starting to sing more in the mornings already but I'm looking forward to them singing at 4.30 in the morning, I like to listen to them whilst I'm drifting in & out of sleep!

Belated Birthday wishes from me too .

I only drank Special Brew once (never again). Hadn't a clue what I was drinking, just thought it was normal lager.I don't remember much until I woke up the next morning. I was informed I'd been fine until tucking into my 5th can at which point I gently sank to the ground and was out cold!
