I write the tax renewal date in my diary, MOT is on the anniversary of the date I bought the car (which I can't forget) and all our insurances are due at the same time (I negotiate a reasonable discount for doing all of them with the same company) and I never forget that date.

I shall be opening mine surrounded by family, wife, dog, cat and me. Oh well you can choose your friends but not your family.

I am always amazed at the home improvement shows where supposedly quality renovation work is completed in a day. The decorators who can whip up window treatments out of bedsheets and pass them off as designer lever appointments!
